Canberra
I'm finally in Canberra! Yay! Long awaited clinical attachment, gonna be here for 3 weeks:) And i'm done with exams, pheww. Thank God for seeing me through the speechie exam, there was so much to study for. Still, am glad that I chose to take it as an elective although i'm not a speech therapist, have learnt a lot on human communication. I can analyse jokes now, hahaha and it's pretty good fun.
The homestay place here in Canberra is awesome, Jan and I seem to have a living room, kitchen and bedroom to ourselves. And there are heaters and electric blankets to take on the cooold Canberra winter! (yes, it's gonna be COLD, tonight will be -2 degrees, and there's a 50% chance of snow, wheee) 1st day here has been rather fruitful, toured a market where we had El Salavador and Peruvian food, and then had a free guided tour of the Parliament building. The building's beautiful, stairs are made of marble, with timbre flooring and interesting geometric floor designs. Really cool to see what it's like inside:) Ohh, very tired, have not rested well enough, but am happy!
