Central Coast Retreat
Had a most wonderful time of fellowship with my dear brothers and sisters in Christ, and learning more about God's word. The topic was really apt, especially at a period of time, when studies are coming to an end and work is going to start. How do we work to glorify His name? What does it mean to be the salt and light of the earth? How do we stand firm in the workplace, and also in this fallen world? There is much to draw strength from, in His word, to rest at His feet. I love my bible study group, I love the fellowship. There is just so much love!
Central Coast was beautiful. We stayed at a 2 storey house that was 5 mins away from Avoca Beach, which is a beach for surfing really, not so much for swimming. Lots and lots of surfers! This morning we walked along the beach, and I saw waves that were 2-3 metres high. Shocking! But the surfers had fun riding the waves, cool. Even the kids surfed. I love the sound of the surf, the crashing of the waves against the sandstones... how I will miss all this. And the big and beautiful sky when you look upwards, and rolling clouds... sigh. Drove to a small seaside town for Thai and the beach there was great as well! Some funny things we did during our stay was feeding rainbow parrots at the balcony, playing Articulate till late at night!
Here is a song that really touched my heart. Take my life and let it be, consecrated Lord for thee!
