24th

The birthday has been a relatively quiet affair and I like it that way:) A quiet lunch at Tony Romas, afternoon movie (haven't been to the theatres in a long time!), browsing items with afternoon shoppers at the mall, a thai dinner and ice cream to finish it off. I love off days from work especially during weekdays where the world moves at a slower pace and rhythm, and you have the extravagance of time to watch the slow dance of leaves falling from trees and enjoying a cool rush of breeze in the summer heat. It's a nice kind of different and sometimes it lulls me back to the time in Sydney where I can gaze into the Pacific and hear the wash of the waves against the shores and perhaps see the fins of the dolphins bobbing up and down the waves. Sigh. 


Am looking forward to an afternoon spent reading in the library and a good dinner with friends! What's your choice of books when you go to the library? Mine's childrens' books and national geographic, nothing like immersing yourself in childhood once again or imagining your next adventure on the globe.
