Ok-i admit,i am still pretty ulu around S'pore.I'll be blatant and honest about it and shall write it here.(pls do not laugh or roll your eyes or be in perpetual shock after reading all this)i...
-haven't been to bugis v(i think i passed by it though)]
-yesterday was my first time walking 3 times around the fountain of wealth thingy.The wishing place,you know.
-not eaten fish and co
-not eaten kenny rogers
-din know what Heeren was until 4 yrs ago
-been to swensens thrice
-do not know much about korean stars
-nvr been to holland v
-can still get lost in orchard
-nvr clubbed before and frankly i don' care
-ate laksa about 3 times in my life(and i puked almost everytime,or rather just cannot stand it)
-haven't been to the rooftop at esplanade
-eaten ice cream cake once only(or issit twice? can't remember)

finished gagging? hey i've got my own reasons too! parents hate shopping,and i think our family culture is still super diff from Sporeans..though we've lived here for 10+ yrs.Sometimes i feel tt no matter how long i stay here,i still feel a bit diff from the rest of my frens..but tt's cos of a lotta reasons too.I don't really live the local lifestyle at home,but i dunno how to put it across here.But actually i don't mind at all! Sometimes,just occasionally,i wonder what it'll be like to live somewhere else again(this place has been the longest place i've ever stayed)..hmm.

I'd like to share some of the jaw-dropping things tt i've heard about this yr.Sometimes I am quite confused by the funny choices that my frens and the people i know make.These are
some things tt i have heard from people:(hee hee) find it pretty amusing...

-no idea who is Cleopatra
-no idea who is GEORGE BUSH?!
-huh? who's aragorn?
-what new york?
-new york is in america?
-who is tony blair?
-bill gates is the person who is running for US presidency against Bush
-bill gates got rich by making water
-mao zedong's dead?
-who is mao zedong?
-where is east timor?
-where is paris?
-what's harvard? is it better than nus?
-what's ivy league?
-where is england?
-where's italy?
-where's france?
-what's the leaning tower of pisa?
-what's the taj mahal? issit the one tt's infested with rats and which they pray?
-pizzas are from moscow
-cowboys are from moscow
-afghanistan is in..south africa
-where's USA? (you can't believe the no for this! a lot of pple thought it included south america )
-hungary is..my stomach! (gasp.)
-ducks cannot fly
-egyptians still live in pyramids
-there's an airport in egypt? you've got to be kidding.it's all desert rit?
-all transport in egypt is by camels
-nile river is in india
-i-pod? what's tt?
-pineapples grow on trees! (this came from a v smart person.trust me.really smart)
-germany is in russia
-chile? then where's tomato?
-what's europe?
-what's sahara?
-what is mao2 ce4?
-what is bao4 mi3 hua1?
-everyone in india is starving(and this was strongly retaliated by dinesh!)

Ps note tt the above comments were not only made by one person.it's a lot.reAlly a lot.I had a fren who commented..what's the point of knowing all this rubbish? it's not like it'll help you in As.Yes,i know it won't. It'll help me in life and why aren't pple showing interest in the world other than s'pore?! i know not becos i'll get As, i know becos i like knowing.tt's why i think it's a matter of priority.It really differs for everyone and tt's ok,it should be! I mean,if you can laugh off the things tt i know and you don't,then pls excuse me for my uluness when i say:now,how do i walk to cini from here?

i'm just trying to get my point across! not offending anyone k=)
