Beautiful encounters

It was a cloudy day, and thank God for the good weather, because it was raining for the past few days. The turnout was quite surprising, quite a number of people who've decided to spend their Saturday morning learning more about plants and flowers. It's nice to be surrounded by greenery and blooms of colours on a morning like this. And so we tottled behind the guide, who was much enthusiastic talking abt some edible ginger (from the ginger family to be exact) thing tt pokes out from its green stalk, stargrass, shrimp and lobster plants, silver trees and pearl grass. And terraniums. Actually, terraniums are pretty cool things- it's like a self sustainable ecosystem, imagine a designer garden, in a glass container. ahh.

And it was amidst looking at herbs and spices that I met a wonderful lady.

Midway when talking about spring onions and chives and lemongrass, she turned to ask if me and heen were Christians. And so the conversation carried on about gardens and flowers, backpacking across Europe, of the bible, of God...

How I'd describe her, was that she was so full of life. Her enthusiasm about plants, flowers, gardening, about travel, about God. The way she shared Christ so freely when she was talking, even to others in the group. Her free-spirited way of talking, of saying things so matter-of-factly that you took them to be at such, and you knew she wasn't being proud and all.. The way she intertwined jokes and experiences with sharing of verses, and things that were part of her, like cycling in Amsterdam in the gardens and meeting different people in her travels. She'd exclaim how beautiful the flowers were when we passed by them, daisies and marigolds and all sorts! It was a very amazing piece of conversation and through the things that she said, was an encouragement to me of many sorts:)

Was not having a good time this week, with many thoughts in my mind, some really deep questions that I keep asking God. Some things I've not yet had an answer, but I know that He will answer them in due time:) The struggles have not been easy, are not easy, but I know that He loves me, and is walking with me.

If I set my mind to it, I can do it.

'The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.' Psalms 111:10

I think I've found the spark, again:)
