Velvet skies and purple rain

-I'm writing as this old man reflecting bk on his love life...and how he still loves his wife so dearly like the v day they were married.

As the candlelight flickers in your eyes

Once again I am mesmerised

How little age rubs itself on you

How you touch me, the little things you do

As we said our vows this day,50 yrs ago

We promised to love each other as we grow old

We've watched the seasons come and go

Together we watched each new day unfold

How do I say what I want to say

You were there for me every step of the way

And when the tears fall from the velvet sky

It doesn't give you any reason to cry

As the waves pull back the sand beneath our feet

I brush away the stray tear from your cheek

As we link hands,look up,lose ourselves in the pale blue

Ahh my sweetheart,I love you

So how? Nice? Wheee!!

Long time since i've posted poems..anw sometimes i'm so free in the office.I even made abt 3 poems talking abt how bored I am!
