A piece of life

Today i attended this talk tt left me glowing and inspired. It's abt this blind man n his guide dog. It just taught me a lots.

In life, we tend to box people up,like pack them up and put them in little crates n start to label them. The old people box for example, would have a little descriptive tag like "slow, no energy, poor memo, useless, unemployed.." The blind people box will be like " can't see, difficulty moving around, cane can hit you, slow, can't do much.." And you wonder why society puts these little tags on these boxes. And why u r even influenced by all these negative conotations that come w the stupid little tags! Because these days what i have seen turn out to be the opp-they are active, independent, eloquent, intellectual, willing to share. Gosh. So much to learn from them too.

Have you ever thought-they're not handicapped if they're disabled. It's the environment tt causes their handicap (ok.i admit i learnt this! anw, disability is sth ur born w). Which is really true come to think of it! A visually impaired man who founded the usage of guidedogs here, finished tertiary edu, pushes for the rights of blind to use guidedogs n thinking of how to improve the welfare of other blind pple, gd speaker, gd natured n humerous, surfs the net, sms, n so much more. It's really inspiring to listen to him talk! n well the dog's really cute as well yea=)

It's just tt life holds so much for some, while others have yet to embrace the love tt's within
